How to Plan a Party - Wristbands & Other Tips

From parties at exclusive clubs to office parties, planning needs to begin way before the event. Planning a party can be very hectic for any party or event planner, and keeping a few simple tips in mind should have your event going off without a hitch!

Invitations & Crowd Control

The first thing any party planner needs to get in order is the guest list. After that is settled upon, invitations should be printed up and decorated. Additionally, consider sending out wristbands with your party invitations. Identification wristbands are an easy and efficient way to get a large amount of people inside an event quickly. Crowd control is a huge issue when throwing any party. Instead of making guests carry the initial invitation to gain entry or having the door man check off a never ending guest list, wristbands are a great alternative. Additionally, wristbands can be customized with slogans and logos or even bar codes, so party planners can be sure only invited guests are allowed in.

Decorations

After all the guests have been properly invited to the event, you'll want to make sure they enjoy themselves when they're there. Decorations are a must for any party. However, try to think of unique ways to decorate your venue instead of using traditional decor.

Entertainment

In tandem with decorating, event planners should also be organizing and booking the entertainment. Whether you're opting for live music, guest speakers, or even a comedian, book the acts well in advance. Also, think about your guests, are they young, old, or mixed ages? That will easily help determine the type of entertainment you think will be pleasing to a majority of the party goers. After deciding on the entertainment, the dinner and alcohol served will also be a high priority. If you're going to have a bar at your event or alcohol served, wristbands add the extra value of easily signaling who is above the legal drinking age. With wristbands, bar tenders and wait staff won't have to spend time individually checking I.D.s throughout the night.

While these are just a few tips for any event, they should be of benefit to any party planner in the beginning stages of planning. No matter what the clientele, these tips will surely lessen the stress of the day!
